As the Centre is being set up primarily for the Tibetan refugee and destitute youth, first priority for admission in different trades will be given to them. Keeping in view these basic criteria, following shall be the admission procedure:

1.    Admission is open but preference will be given to TCV wards.
2.    Wherever vacancies are available in any trade, local youth from Uttarakhand shall be given admission on day scholar basis as per ITI norms  for admission.
3.   As the number of seats in each trade is limited, final selection will be based on Merit.
4  Candidates should be at least 18 years of age as on 30.6.2018 and under 25 years of age as on 31.7.2018.


A.    Students will be selected on MERIT BASIS.

B.    Names will be listed in the trade of applicant’s first choice.

C.   Seat allocation will be 60% for TCV & 40% for Non TCV (Can go either ways if the no. of candidates is less in one category)

D.   Students with lower marks but with first preference in a particular trade will be given preference over another student with higher marks but having the trade as his/her second choice. (Eg. A candidate with 55% & Food Production as first choice will be given preference over another candidate with 65% &Food Production as his/her second choice & some other trade as first choice)

E.    Candidate should be between the age group of 18-25.

F.    TCV wards having passed class VI or VII with age above 18 to be considered for trades which have seats available & given internal certificate by the end of the course.

G.   XII Science & Commerce students to be given benefit over XII Arts & Vocational as:

                      i.        Science               TOTAL PERCENTAGE                                + 5

                     ii.        Commerce          TOTAL PERCENTAGE                                + 3

                    iii.        Arts                      TOTAL PERCENTAGE                               + 0

                   iv.        Vocational           TOTAL PERCENTAGE                                -- 3

Duly completed Application Form, along with copies of following documents should reach the center by 30th June, 2018 (last date for receiving forms).

1.    Green book & RC updated

2.    School leaving/ Transfer Certificate

3.    Character certificate

4.    Medical Certificate

5.    Mark sheet

6.    Addhar card

7.    Parent’s undertaking (in Tibetan) – Duly signed

8.    4 pass port size photographs.

9.    Scholarship form (TCV Ward)

10.  Medical Record Book (TCV Ward)

11.  Address proof with the contact number of parent or guardian

Note: Students are advised to seek departure on their RC (Registration Certificate) before leaving for Dehradun to avoid the trouble of going back to their state of domicile for extension between the academic sessions and to strive under the law.



In case a certificate is found to be forged the candidate will be expelled immediately with forfeiture of up keeping contribution paid in advance.


Upkeeping Contribution

  1. The up keeping contribution of trainee’s will be Rs. 3550/- per month.
  2. Trainees need to deposit Rs. 5000/- as caution money at the time of admission (refundable after completion of Industrial Training)
  3. contribution is to be paid in four monthly advance installment. Late penalty of Rs. 20 per day will be charged if a student fails to submit his/her contribution within the due date. In case the duration extends beyond 1 month, students name may be cut out from Class Attendance list.
  4. Contribution installment is non-refundable in the case of students leaving the centre in the middle of the session or during the Industrial Exposure Training.
  5. Medical expenses beyond  Rs. 500/- on  contribution paying students are to be borne by parents themselves or whosoever is paying their upkeeping contribution 
  6. Refunding of security deposit either after completing or discontinuing the course must be claim within a year after the departure date.
